Dear parents/guardians,
First of all, I would like to thank you for attending the meetings we are organising at school. Having such a good number of you present gives us the courage to continue organising such meetings. Thanks once again. On the 4th of November 2016, at 9:00 a.m. we are inviting you for another interesting talk. This talk is only for Year 3 and Year 4 parents/guardians and is going to be held at the school’s hall. The talk will finish at around 10:15a.m. Since your children are having PSCD sessions, we would like you to meet with the PSCD teachers so that they will discuss with you the content and the teaching strategies that they will be using during their sessions. Hope to see you there. Thanks and regards, _____________ Elizabeth Galea Head of School Dear parents/guardians,

Thank you for the books donated.
These photos show all the books you donated. If there are any of you who are interested to donate books, kindly do so by bringing the books at school. As it is well known, the Feast of St Francis of Assisi is celebrated in different parts of the world, on the 4th of November. At school we celebrated St Francis Feast on the 29th of September 2016. Pets of all kinds joined the children during the morning assembly. Father Ewkarist Zammit, whom we would like to thank, blessed all the animals and all the people present during this activity. We would also like to thank all the parents who joined us during this activity. Dear parents/guardians,
First of all, we would like to thank all parents who already donated books and meanwhile we would like to invite others to join and donate books too. These will be beneficial for the children, as they will have more books to choose from when they go and borrow books from the school library. We would also like you to help us by donating used school uniforms, schools shoes and white slippers. If you think you do not need them any more and they are in good condition, you can bring them to school. While thanking you in advance. Kind Regards ___________________ Elizabeth Galea Head of School Do you like to draw or write some sentences in English? Do you want your work to be published in a kids’ newspaper named Eye Spy, every Wednesday, in the local newspaper The Times?
If your answer is Yes, draw and/or write some sentences, stories or poems in English and follow these guidelines: Your drawing must be your original work and not photocopied from a drawing book. Remember to write the title of your drawing in English. At the BACK of your work it is important to write your NAME, SURNAME, AGE, CLASS, ADDRESS, SCHOOL AND COLLEGE NAME and the title of your drawing, write-up or poem. Remember that your work should always be in ENGLISH. Keep in mind that your work, which should be on an A4 paper, is going to be scanned, so it has to be in a dark shade and clear. If you would like to keep a copy of your work, I strongly suggest that you photocopy your work before handing it in, as the editors will keep all the work handed in. It is important to send us your work according to the deadlines you find below. The following are the titles and deadlines: Title Closing Date 1. St. Francis: patron of animals 6th October 2016 2. Halloween 14th October 2016 3. St Martin’s Tradition 21st October 2016 4. My school 11th November 2016 5. St Nicholas and his legends 25th November 2016 6. My village 2nd December 2016 By the way you can also invent your own titles. The more original titles the better. You can also write about an interesting activity done in class or at school or with your family. Dear parents/guardians, The school is currently working on increasing the numbers of books we have in the library as right now the books we have are not enough. Moreover, we think that there should be also more books that are more attractive then the ones we have. Therefore, we are inviting you to donate books on the occasion of your child’s birthday. Your child will donate the book during the morning assembly. On our school website there is a list of books that might help you to decide what books to donate. In addition, if you have books that are in good condition and you do not need them anymore, you can also bring them to school and we can add them to the library. Whilst thanking you in advance, Kind Regards , ______________ Elizabeth Galea Head of School |
